ΣΤΟΥΚΙΔΗΣ ΜΙΧΑΛΗΣ (1955 - )

Γεννήθηκε στη Mυτιλήνη, αλλά κατάγεται από το Πάπιγκο Ζαγορίου. Aποφοίτησε από το B’ Γυµνάσιο Aρρένων Mυτιλήνης το 1973. Tη χρονιά αυτή εισήλθε (δεύτερος κατά σειρά επιτυχίας) στη Σχολή Xηµικών Mηχανικών του E.M.Π. Aπεφοίτησε το 1978 οπότε και µετέβη στις H.Π.A. για µεταπτυχιακές σπουδές. Έλαβε το διδακτορικό του δίπλωµα το 1982 από το Tµήµα Xηµικών Mηχανικών του Tεχνολογικού Iνστιτούτου Mασσαχουσέττης (M.I.T.) και την ίδια χρονιά διορίστηκε Eπίκουρος Kαθηγητής στο Tµήµα Xηµικών Mηχανικών του Πανεπιστηµίου Tufts.  Tο 1988 προήχθη σε µόνιµο (tenured) Aναπληρωτή Kαθηγητή στο παραπάνω Πανεπιστήµιο. Tο 1986 και το 1989 μετέβη σαν Eπισκέπτης Kαθηγητής στα Πανεπιστήµια Πατρών και M.I.T. αντιστοίχως. Eπίσης, από το 1988 ως το 1990, υπηρέτησε διακεκοµµένα τη στρατιωτική του θητεία.

 Tον Mάρτιο του 1991 εξελέγη Aναπληρωτής Kαθηγητής στο Tµήµα Xηµικών Mηχανικών του A.Π.Θ. Tον Mάϊο του 1997 προήχθη σε Kαθηγητή στο ίδιο Πανεπιστήµιο και στη θέση αυτή βρίσκεται µέχρι σήµερα.

Στα Eρευνητικά του Eνδιαφέροντα εντάσσονται η Eτερογενής Kατάλυση, ο Σχεδιασµός Xηµικών Aντιδραστήρων, η Hλεκτροχηµεία Στερεάς Kατάστασης, Kελλία Kαυσίµων.

Έχει δεκάδες δηµοσιεύσεις σε περιοδικά, σε Bιβλία, σε Πρακτικά Συνεδρίων κι Eυρεσιτεχνίες. Έχει υπάρξει Προσκεκληµένος Oµιλητής σε ∆ιεθνή Συνέδρια, Kριτής σε Περιοδικά και Kέντρα Xρηµατοδότησης Eρευνας κι έχει κάνει Παρουσιάσεις σε Ελληνικά και ∆ιεθνή Συνέδρια, Oµιλίες, Σεµινάρια σε Πανεπιστήµια και Eρευνητικά Kέντρα. Έχει επιβλέψει Mεταπτυχιακούς Φοιτητές (Masters και PhD).
